Dr. Melonie MacDonald D.D.S
Dr. Melonie MacDonald was born and raised in Fort Saskatchewan and thanks to her best friend’s dad, fell in love with Dentistry at a young age. Dr MacDonald is a graduate from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Dentistry in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. She also graduated from NAIT in 1989 with a Dental Assisting Diploma. She is a member in good standing with the Alberta Dental Association & College and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. MacDonald was a Clinical Instructor at the UofA Faculty of Dentistry in both Pediatrics and Fixed Prosthodontics.
Dr. MacDonald is passionate about providing her patients with quality care. She has taken specialty training with LVI, a post- graduate dental program with a focus on cosmetic dentistry, and has also furthered her studies and training with Spears Education. She was trained in Invisalign in 2005 and is Botox Certified.
She has a love for competitive sport, from a young figure skater to the accomplished athlete she is today. Dr. MacDonald’s love of Triathlon started in 2002. She completed her 1st Ironman in 2005 which sparked the dream to one day qualify for Ironman World Championships in Kona. After years of hard training and 2 more Ironmans, she achieved her dream in 2014. She not only qualified and competed in Ironman World Championships in Kona that year, but also qualified and competed in Ironman 70.3 in Mont Tremblant and ITU Grand Final in Edmonton in 2014.
